PEO v.s. EMS - What's the Difference?

With the EMS model, the client is in charge of outsourcing the managerial tasks relating to HR and payroll and at the same time has 100% control of the obligations and risks concerning the relationship that exists between the employer and employee. The client will remain the employer of record and preserve the obligation to the compensation insurance policy of its workers.

Regarding matters in the workplace, we offer assistance and advise the client on the implementation and execution of policies and procedures, workplace safety, management of claims of injuries and the likes. But the client is in charge of choosing whether they want to carry out our recommendations or not.

In the PEO model, there is an agreement by the client to carry out the best practices suitable to their workplace policies and procedures, workplace safety, training any other thing that falls in, and in return we also agree to a “co-employment" relationship with the company of our client. There would be a division of some responsibility and risks. We take over the record of the employer and provide the workers with a compensation insurance policy. Basically, there is a transfer of administrative and managerial duties to us while the client is still in control of the operational workforce. Usually, this is the best solution for small companies with just a few outsourcing employees
